Sound has been used as a healing modality in various cultures for thousands of years. Whether through the use of mantas as with the Hindis, the Icaros (medicine melodies) of Indigenous peoples from Central and South America, or Pythagoras’s use of interval and frequency, these various techniques all have the same intention: to move us from a place of imbalance to a place of balance.
One specific tool, tuning forks, come in a variety of different forms and frequencies to achieve specific therapeutic effects. While usually small in stature compared to other healing instruments, tuning forks are designed for targeted healing and have a big impact in facilitating total body harmony.
This class is designed to explore the benefits of tuning forks specifically in the use of the the Solfeggio Frequencies to highlight the holistic power of these wonderful tools.
Participants will:
- Discuss the history of sound healing & solfeggio frequencies
- Learn to identify various frequencies and their benefits
- Understand corresponding frequencies to the human chakra system
- Explore tuning fork anatomy & learn techniques for application
- Discover the difference between weighted & unweighted tuning forks
- Learn various healing techniques used with tuning forks
- Experience practical application with practice tuning forks
Some of the Solfeggio Frequencies to be explored during this class include 174hz, 396hz, 528hz, 741hz, 963hz, and more.
Students are welcome to bring their own tuning forks to the class. Practice tuning forks will be provided for use during the practical application section of the class.
